Mr. Brian Charles Zody died unexpectedly in Sugar Land, TX on August 5, 2017 at the age of 54.

Brian is survived by his wife, Tricia, three children, Austin, Alexandra, and Addison; three siblings, Michelle and her husband, Rusty, Mary and her wife, Melissa, and Steve. He is preceded in death by his father, Forrest Francis Zody, mother, Donna Jean Zody, and brother, Christopher Zody.

Brian was born on November 13, 1962 in Houston, TX. He attended Milby HS, graduating in 1982, and received his BA in Management from Southwest Texas State in 1986. He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Order at SWT, and served as president 1985 - 1986. Brian married Tricia Holloway, his college sweetheart, in 1988. They settled in Sugar Land, TX, and Brian began working as a broker in the maritime industry. In 2007, he ventured out on his own to start Dominion Maritime. Brian and Tricia were blessed with three beautiful children who he gave his all for.

Brian was an artisan at heart and appreciated creating things through many different mediums - including old ceiling tile tin he made into crosses, wood working, kiln formed glass, and his most recent interest, clay making. He was an active and dedicated member of The Sanctuary Fellowship in Rosenberg, TX. Brian was a follower of Christ, and his life reflected his relationship with his Heavenly Father. His last wish for his children was that they would continually follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brian will be most remembered for his easy and welcoming demeanor. He had a way of making everyone he came in contact with feel as if they were the most important person in the room. His words were real and genuine, pouring out of his big, beautiful heart. If you had the privilege of knowing him, or even just being in a room with him, your life was better for it.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, August 13th at 3pm at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church - 431 Eldridge Rd, Sugar Land, TX 77478 - Pastor Joe Sanders officiating. All are welcome to attend to celebrate Brian Zody's life. The family would love for you to bring a written, special memory that you shared with Brian or a note of condolence that will be kept in a special scrapbook.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Brian C. Zody Donation Account c/o James Sanislow - PO Box 16746, Sugar Land, TX 77496.
